What You Can Expect
I will build a space with you in which you can have room to feel (and say) whatever you need to, without being rushed to fix, correct, or tidy yourself up.
I will support you to build a nuanced understanding about how experience has shaped you.
We can get to know who you might be beyond how others define you.
We can discover what wants to be transformed within yourself and your life.
I will support you to make conscious choices in your own best interests.
I will do this by listening on a number of levels to what you’re bringing into the room, including what you might be expressing without words. This is not mystical: it is the equivalent of being a piano tuner or wine taster, just with the story a person tells, and how they tell it.
I am radically curious: that means that even if you expect some part of you to be judged, I am more interested in getting to know it. This is a collaboration: I am inviting you to join me in curiosity about you.
These are very broad strokes, but they are the basics.

I respect that you are likely to have built all your current modes of managing for very good reasons. For most of us, these strategies have limitations. In other words, one might find that certain ways of coping have become outdated or even get in the way of what we’re aiming for in life.
We can explore what additionally you might like to build within yourself, to have more options for how to get by. For example, are you in need of more spaciousness, more comfort, more encouragement?

I’m excited by movements toward freedom in my clients. This doesn’t just mean embracing opportunity. It also (and perhaps more fundamentally) means the freedom to be a whole person, with space for your full range of emotions, and with the capacity to reach for the resources you need to navigate life.
